Easton Man Accused of Damaging Ex-girlfriend's Car


EASTON, Md.- A 20-year-old Easton man was arrested after he admitted to punching and kicking his ex-girlfriend's vehicle, as well as breaking both mirrors, police said.

On July 16, members of the Easton Police Department responded to 223 Port St. in reference to malicious destruction of property. Officers said when they arrived on the scene, they met with Caine Knopp, who stated he had gotten into an argument with his ex-girlfriend.

According to police, Knopp stated during the dispute he became very angry and punched and kicked his ex-girlfriend's vehicle. Knopp also said he broke both mirrors and kicked the fender near the fuel tank causing damage, police said.

Knopp was placed under arrest and then transported to the Easton Police Department for processing.

Knopp was charged with malicious destruction of property, disorderly conduct and disturbance of the peace. Knopp was seen before District Court Commissioner and released on his own recognizance.
