SALISBURY, Md.- The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a public meeting on Wednesday, July 23, at 6 p.m. to showcase the design of the Main Street Masterplan project.  The meeting will be held in the Perdue Conference Room at the Chamber Building, which is located at 144 East Main St. in Salisbury.

The engineering firm for this project, A. Morton Thomas & Associates, Inc., will present the scope of work, the project schedule, concept level streetscape features and the 2009 concept study that is the basis of the design for the project.  The public and local business owners are encouraged to attend this presentation.  There will be time allotted for questions from the public.  The concept drawings can be viewed on the City’s website: www.ci.salisbury.md.us

Additionally, geotechnical work associated with the project is scheduled to be performed on East Main and West Main streets, between West Market Street and South Salisbury Boulevard (Route 13).  The geotechnical work will begin on Monday, July 21, and will end by Friday, July 25, barring unforeseen delays.  The geotechnical work will be performed between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.  Notification of upcoming utility inspection work will follow after completion of the geotechnical work.

East Main, West Main and Division streets will remain open during the geotechnical work.  Drivers may experience delays due to traffic pattern modifications.
