Fire Officials Ask for Public's Help in Solving Arson

DOVER, Del.– The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is asking the public’s help in solving an arson incident that happened back in December 2012 in Kent County.

It was a residential fire in the unit block of Stuart Drive in the Penn Wood development. The fire was reported before 8 p.m. on Dec. 15, 2012, according to investigators.

Officials said the Camden-Wyoming Fire Company responded and extinguished the fire. Damages were estimated at $25,000. No injuries were reported.

Investigators said Thursday that the ruled the fire was intentionally set inside the home and items from the home were stolen by the person or persons who started the fire to cover up the theft.
