Deputies Arrest Salisbury Man for Assault

SALISBURY, Md.– Wicomico County sheriff's deputies have arrested a Salisbury man accused of assaulting his girlfriend during a dispute.

When deputies arrived at the 29000 block of Santa Fe Drive in Salisbury last Saturday morning, they said they heard a male voice yelling and saw a female crying.

The victim said her boyfriend Persell L. Beckett, 35, of threw a fan at her during an argument and injured her hand, leaving it bloody, according to authorities.

Deputies arrested and charged Beckett with second-degree assault. He was ordered held in the Wicomico County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
