Woman Assaulted by Two Men in Dewey Beach

DEWEY BEACH, Del.- Dewey Beach are asking the public's assistance in identifying two suspects wanted for assaulting a woman who was walking home along Coastal Highway early Sunday morning.

The assault took place at 1:44 a.m. as the victim was walking southbound in the northbound shoulder of Coastal Highway at Collins Avenue, according to police. Police said two male suspects followed her until one of the suspects approached her from behind, grabbed her dress, pulled it off, and pushing her to the pavement.

The first suspect was described as a white male, in his late 20s, approximately 5-foot-8, medium build, wearing a light colored short sleeve shirt with dark vertical stripes and dark shorts.

The second suspect, who was also described as a white male in his late 20s, approximately 5-foot-8, of thin build, wearing a dark T-shirt and dark colored shorts, was apparently videotaping the assault on his cellphone.
