Gov. O'Malley Says Don't Turn Away Immigrant Kids

OMAHA, Neb. - Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley, a potential Democratic presidential candidate, has told Nebraska Democrats that the United States shouldn't be turning away children from Central America who, in his words, "arrive at our doorstep fleeing death."
It's a different stance from the one taken by Hillary Rodham Clinton, who has said the U.S. needs to make clear that "just because your child gets across the border doesn't mean your child gets to stay."
Despite O'Malley's support for the immigrant children, President Barack Obama's team recently revealed that O'Malley had asked the White House not to have children brought to a facility in his home state of Maryland.
