SALISBURY, Md. - A two story home on South Division Street in Salisbury was destroyed Saturday night when it went up in flames.

Firefighters with the Salisbury Fire Department say it happened just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday night. When crews arrived on the scene, the Fire Department says there were initial reports that people were trapped inside, however firefighters tell WBOC that everyone got out of the house safely.

It took about 40 minutes to get the fire under control, and fire crews remained on scene until about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, according to firefighters.

No one was injured.

Firefighters say six people lived in the home and are being helped by the American Red Cross.

The State Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire.
