Man Dies in Boating Accident off Ocean City Coast

Officials are investigating a boating accident that occured Saturday 60 miles off the coast of Ocean City, Md. Officials are investigating a boating accident that occured Saturday 60 miles off the coast of Ocean City, Md.

OCEAN CITY, Md. – A man died 60 miles off the coast of Ocean City on Saturday morning after a propeller on a charter fishing boat struck his head, according to the Coast Guard.

The 48-year-old, unidentified man went into the water to untangle a line that was wrapped around the prop of the boat, “No Worries," the Coast Guard said. He was given CPR while heading toward the shore.

Upon return, the coroner pronounced the man dead, according to the Coast Guard. The man's identity has not yet been released. The incident is under investigation.
