Beachgoers on the Lookout for Joe Biden

Posted:

REHOBOTH, Del.- Keep an eye out for the Vice President of the United States if you're visiting Rehoboth Beach.

Trying to find out where Joe Biden is staying is nearly impossible. But people in the area were glad to hear he was staying in Rehoboth.

"I honestly can't believe it," said Moneire Maye of Lincoln. "I'm actually trying to look for him right now. I thought I saw someone in a CIA suit but I might be confused. But i'm definitely trying to see him. I know he's around here somewhere. Joe we got to find you."

Many tourists were shocked to find out Vice President Biden was vacationing at the same place they were.

"I think that's pretty exciting to have a vice president in the Rehoboth area," said Thomas Lupia of Mechanicsburg, PA.

"You can't really follow him so that's cool that he's staying here and we're staying here too," said Victoria Grisanzio of Howell, NJ.

"It's cool that someone with the nation is coming just to a local area like this," said Joseph Grisanzio of Howell, NJ.

Others weren't so surprised.

"I mean we're here so I don't blame him for being here," said Emanuel Irbau of Douglassville, PA. "Rehoboth is a really nice area."

Even some kids were on the lookout. They were excited about what they would do if they happened to see him.

"Hey we're kids. Come on," said Macklin Shearer of York, PA. "We're going to run up, get autographs, jump up and down, tell everybody hey the vice president's in town."

Whether shocked or not, beachgoers are just glad Biden's in the area.
