Posted:

LONG NECK, Del. (AP/WBOC) - Delaware State Police are looking for a woman they say took part in a home invasion in Long Neck.

Troopers say on July 11 around 10 p.m., Erica Jones, 23 of Lincoln, and Niesha N. Bland, 20 of Laurel, broke into a residence in the 26000 block of Portside Drive brandishing a large pipe.

Officers say the two women assaulted a 32-year-old resident, whom they knew, and slapped the resident's 2-year-old son. Police say when the women fled, one used the pipe to smash the windshield of a car belonging to a 56-year-old male.

On July 12, police arrested Bland and charged her with home invasion.

Police are still looking for Jones, who is charged with home invasion and other offenses.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Erica Jones they are asked to contact Corporal J. O'Neil at 302-644-5020 ext. 250 or by utilizing the Delaware State Police Mobile Crime Tip Application available to download at: http://www.delaware.gov/apps/. Information may also be provided by calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333, via the internet at www.tipsubmit.com, or by sending an anonymous tip by text to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword "DSP."
