SALISBURY, Md. – United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore is partnering up with MAC, Inc. to provide thousands of dollars in funding for the 2015 year, according to officials.

Over $186,000 will go to various programs, including the Meals on Wheels program, which delivers food to homebound elderly, officials say. The money will supply meals to 675 individuals in the upcoming year.

Funding will also go to the Senior Aides Job Training and Alzheimer’s Day programs, events that provide employment opportunities and support to seniors citizens, according to officials.

United Way says they have given over $3 million to support senior citizens since 1985.
