DOVER, Del. (WBOC) - Members of law enforcement and the Delaware State Division of Forensic Science - formerly the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner - conducted a search behind a funeral home in Dover Wednesday. Dover police did not confirm what they were searching for but said no foul play is suspected.

Dover police and New Castle County police were both on the scene at the Minus Funeral Home located at 222 MN. Queen St. Three vehicles from the Division of Forensic Science were also on scene.

"It's out of the ordinary for here," said William Crawford, who lives across the street from the old funeral home. "This has never happened before. The fact that it's behind a funeral home makes it even more suspicious."

An extensive search was conducted of the backyard of the funeral home. The search was completed shortly before 2 p.m.

Authorities said more details about the search would be released later in the week.
