GEORGETOWN, Del. – Police arrested a Georgetown man for domestic violence at the Classic Motel. It all took place in the presence of a child, according to investigators.

Georgetown police said that shortly after midnight Wednesday, 44-year-old Johnny Finney was involved in a physical confrontation with a 51-year-old female victim. Police said Finney made contact with her and wanted to enter her room, but the victim refused to let him in.

Police said Finney went to the office and got another key for the room to get in. Police said Finney entered the room, grabbed the victim, and threatened her.

According to police, this all happened in front of the victim’s 2-year-old grandchild.

Finney was taken into custody and charged with offensive touching, terroristic threatening and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $1250 secured bond with a future court date.
