Hebron Attack Victim Has Arm Amputated

HEBRON, MD -  A Hebron man that was badly beaten early Monday morning had his arm amputated, and he is still listed in critical condition at the Bayview Burn Center in Baltimore. Thirty-one year old Zachary Swanson is also suffering from facial fractures, eleven broken ribs, and a liver laceration according to court documents.

Swanson's right arm was carved into during the attack, and then set on fire. Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis confirmed that the victim's arm had been amputated because of the severity of the injury.

Two men have been charged with first degree attempted murder. They are Paul Hurst of Hebron, and Cary Edwards of Williamsburg, Virginia. Investigators say all involved are likely affiliated with a cult that follows an American hip-hop duo from Detroit, Michigan.
