LEWES, Del.- Delaware State Police detectives say they have arrested a Georgetown woman accused of breaking into three gas stations in Sussex County in order to steal cash and cigarettes.

Dawn G. Tulowitzki, 36, is charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of possession of burglary tools, three counts of theft and three counts of criminal mischief.

Troopers said the first incident occurred on Jan. 21, at the Uncle Willie's gas station located at 17581 Coastal Highway in Lewes, when Tulowitzki used a hammer to smash a window out of the entry door in order to enter and steal approximately 150 cartons of cigarettes and $100 in cash.

Police said Tulowitzki struck the same gas station on March 2, when she stole six cartons of cigarettes and approximately $100 in cash.

Investigators said that a few days later, on March 9, Tulowitzki burglarized the Uncle Willie's located at 712 South DuPont Highway in Millsboro. According to police, she again used a hammer to break the glass door and stole $100 and three packs of cigarettes.

Detectives were able to gather this information through witness interviews in an unrelated matter and took Tulowitzki into custody on Wednesday, Aug. 6. Following her arrest on the aforementioned charges, she was ordered held in the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correction Institution on $9,500 secured bond.
