Suspect Arrested for Theft at Construction Site

HURLOCK, Md. – A Hurlock man has been arrested for burglary and theft that happened at a construction site.

The theft happened on July 18 near 1413 Preston Road.

Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office said David Allen Gifford, 49, stole $26,137 worth of electrical items from the construction site. Police said he sold the items to a recycling business.

Most items were recovered.

Gifford is charged with fourth degree burglary and theft of $500. He is being held on $35,000 bond.
