MILFORD, Del. (WBOC/AP) - Delaware State Police arrested a man they say was stealing items from an unlocked car in Milford.
Police say twenty-five-year-old Marque Anthony of Milford was arrested early Saturday morning.
Authorities say they received a 911 call around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday with a report of a man walking down Hammond Street and pulling on car door handles. Police say Marque eventually found an unlocked car and began removing items from it before police arrived on the scene and arrested him.
Once in custody, police found a small amount of marijuana. Police say they also found other items that may have been taken from other vehicles.
Troopers charged Marque with one count each of burglary third degree, theft under $1500, and possession of marijuana. Police say he was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and then committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution for lack of $1250 secured bail.
Delaware State Police continue to investigate this incident in Sussex County.
