Megan Runser joined the WBOC family in February of 2014, moving for the first time to the Eastern Shore. She's looking forward to getting to know the people of Delmarva and getting a taste of life on the other side of the bay.
Originally from the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, Megan came to WBOC after living and working in Winchester, Virginia. There, she was the producer for “Good Morning Winchester” which aired every weekday morning on GHSV-TV, or TV3 Winchester News.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in university studies concentrating on mass communication and music production recording technology from Shenandoah University in Winchester. While in school, she was a sister of Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta. She also interned for TV3 Winchester and worked for Shenandoah University Media Productions producing media hub videos for the university website. Her favorite events to date were when she assistant produced the live TV broadcasts of the Firefighter's Parade and Grand Feature Parade for the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival for three years straight.
Before graduating at Shenandoah, she received the Mass Communication Department Award for Excellence in Digital Media.
In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with her family and friends. When she's not at work, she loves listening to music, reading, catching up on her favorite TV shows, and exploring new recipes.
