DSP: Two Men Arrested for AC Unit Thefts

MAGNOLIA, Del. - Delaware State Police arrested two men Thursday morning after they they were caught stealing an air conditioning unit from a home on Church Creek Drive in Magnolia around 8 a.m.

According to Delaware State Police, a witness reported seeing two male suspects removing and air conditioning unit, placing it in a truck and driving off.

Police say another witness followed the truck and guided troopers to its location on Cherry Drive, where 33-year-old Martin Daniels of Magnolia, and 32-year-old Christopher Porter of Dover were arrested. 

After some investigation Delaware State Police troopers linked Daniels and Porter to two additional thefts of air conditioning units.  Police say both thefts were in Felton, one happened on Turkey Point Road and the other on Pardoners Tail Lane.
Christopher Porter and Martin Daniels were charged with three counts each of Theft over $1500, Criminal Mischief, and Criminal Trespass 2nd degree as well as one count of Conspiracy 2nd degree. Both were released on $8250 unsecured bond.
Police believe there could be even more victims.
