Salisbury Rotary Clubs to Donate Backpacks to Children

Posted:

SALISBURY, Md. - Members of three local Rotary Clubs successfully met their goal of filling 600 backpacks with donated school supplies.

The backpacks will be given out Saturday to underprivileged children at the Christian Shelter in Salisbury. Any family with a child in need of a backpack for the new school year but without the funds to buy one is invited to attend the backpack giveaway from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. or while supplies last. Every child attending must be accompanied by a parent to receive a backpack.

The Rotary Club of Salisbury, the Salisbury Sunrise Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Wicomico County extend their sincere thanks to the people of the Delmarva Peninsula for contributing spiral binders, pencils, paper, glue sticks and other items over the past three weeks.
