Police Investigate 'Suspicious Death' in Ocean City

 OCEAN CITY, Md.- Ocean City police are investigating what they call the suspicious death of a man who was found unresponsive in a hotel room this morning.
 
Police say officers were called to a hotel, located on 4701 Coastal Highway, around 3 a.m. for a report of an unconscious and unresponsive person.

First responders from the Ocean City Police and Fire Departments initiated emergency lifesaving procedures on the victim and transported him to Atlantic General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at approximately 3:45 a.m. The victim has been identified as Jorge Troca, 38, of Lyndhurst, NJ.

An investigation into the cause, manner, and circumstances of the death is currently underway by OCPD investigators.  At this time, the OCPD Criminal Investigation Division has categorized this death as suspicious.  A comprehensive investigation will be completed before a final determination is made.
