CHESWOLD, Del. - The Cheswold Police Department have identified the suspect who they say broke into a laundromat and stole money from the change machine.

Police say through a lengthy investigation and numerous calls on the suspect's identity, they were able to identify 45-year-old Billy Joe Paitsel as the suspect who entered Kwons Laundromat on July 17th. Police say around 3:00 p.m., Paitsel broke into the change machine and removed about $1,400 from the machine.

Police say they were able to obtain surveillance footage of the suspect which was then released to local news outlets. The Cheswold Police Department says they received multiple calls identifying the suspect as Paitsel, even from as far away as the Dawson County, Georgia Sheriff's Office who they say supplied the department with photos, including a tattoo on the suspect's left hand which was not released.

Police say Paitsel is wanted by the Cheswold Police department for theft under $1,500 and conspiracy third degree. Cheswold Police are still working to identify Paitsel's accomplice who they say served as a look out during the crime.
If you have any information on Paitsel's location please contact the Cheswold Police Department at (302) 734-2202 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
