Traffic Stop in New Castle County Leads to Drug Bust

New Castle County, Del.- New Castle County Police arrested a Wilmington man on drug charges during a traffic stop.

Police said they arrested 44-year-old Terrell Davis on Aug. 21 around 12:15 a.m. after finding several different drugs in his car. Officers said they were conducting proactive patrols in the Overlook Colony area. According to police, officers saw Davis commit a traffic violation as he left the community. Police said during the traffic stop, they detected the smell of marijuana coming from the car. Officers said they searched the vehicle and found 51 bags of heroin totaling to .765 grams, 1.46 grams of marijuana, 28 Oxycodone pills, drug paraphernalia and $2,295 in cash. New Castle County Police said Davis was taken into custody with incident.

Terrell Davis was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic offenses.

Police said Davis was arraigned and committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institution in lieu of a $40,400 cash bail.
