Posted: Updated:

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.– Delaware Electric Cooperative reports on its website that power has been restored in Rehoboth Beach after nearly 1,400 of its customers were without power, after two utility poles were struck.

The happened around 7:40 p.m. Monday on Old Landing Road.

The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Department said a tractor and its trailer became disconnected and ran into the power lines, pulling down the two poles. There were no reported injuries.

Delaware Electric said crews needed to replace both utility poles in order to restore power.
