Wesley College President Announces Retirement

DOVER, Del.- The current president of Wesley College in Dover announced this week he will retire at the end of the 2014-15 academic year.

Dr. William Johnston began working at the college in 2008 after a successful career as president of Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant. According to the college's statement, Johnston's goals included increasing the profile and reputation of the College, expanding facilities, creating new academic programs and a new strategic plan

"The forward movement of Wesley College under his leadership is evident and surrounds us," said Wesley College Board of Trustee Chair Robert V.A. Harra, Jr.

The Board of Trustees says the search process for a replacement will begin immediately with the goal of naming the successor president early in 2015.
