Suspect Sought in Dover Shooting


DOVER, Del.- Police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a Wednesday morning shooting that left a man injured in Dover.

Dover police said that the incident occurred shortly after 10 a.m. in the area of Kirkwood and Division streets. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his foot and is being treated at a local hospital.

According to police, the suspect was described as a dark-skinned black male with a light mustache. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a 2-tone brown sweatshirt. The suspect was last seen running northbound from the scene. Dover officers, along with troopers from the Delaware State Police K9 and Aviation units, are searching the area for the suspect.

Wesley College and area Dover schools placed their campuses on lockdown as a precautionary measure.
