State Highway Administration to Improve Ride Quality Near Dover Bridge

Posted:

EASTON, Md. - The State Highway Administration (SHA) will be improving ride quality on both sides of the Dover Bridge next week.

Weather-permitting, workers will apply an epoxy coating to both approaches of the bridge, which crosses the Choptank River at the Talbot/Caroline County line, every day the week of Sept. 2 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Motorists should expect a single lane closure guided by a flag person on the Dover Bridge.

SHA patched the bridge approaches with concrete earlier this summer. Epoxy application is the next phase of sealing the road surface.

SHA is urging drivers stay alert during repairs. Look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Slow down and don't follow too closely.
