Diamond Rings Taken in Rehoboth Beach Jewelry Store Heist

Posted: Updated:

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.– Rehoboth Beach police say they are looking for three suspects wanted for stealing a tray of diamond rings from a jewelry store over Labor Day weekend.

It happened Saturday at 3:50 p.m. at the Dynasty Jewelry Store at 42 Rehoboth Ave.

Officers said they arrived on scene and were told by a female clerk that two black males and one black female went into the store just before 4 p.m.

Police said while the three were inside the store they stood close together and blocked the clerk's view of a display case across the store. Police said one of the males lifted up the top glass of the case and took out a tray holding an estimated seven diamond rings on it.

Investigators said the clerk realized what the suspects were doing and approached them demanding the jewelry be returned.

One of the males and a female took off through Penny Lane Mall. The other suspect struggled with the clerk and then left with the jewelry, heading west on Rehoboth Avenue, investigators said.

Police said no weapons were displayed. The estimated value of the jewelry is $20,000- $40,000.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Rehoboth Beach Police Department at (302) 227-2577.
