Boyfriend Charged in Pregnant Woman's Death

Posted:
ROSEDALE, Md. (AP)- Baltimore County police have charged a man with fatally stabbing his girlfriend, who was 9 months pregnant.

Thirty-two-year-old Kenneth Walter Worrell III was arrested last week and charged with first-degree murder in the death of 33-year-old Summer Shemida Smith. He is being held without bail.

Police say Smith's mother found her body in Smith's home on June 20. An autopsy found that Smith suffered multiple injuries, including puncture wounds.

Detectives say DNA tests showed that Smith's bloodstains were on a bank receipt found in Worrell's car and dated the day of the slaying.
