Brian Barlow, 30, of Lewes, Del. Brian Barlow, 30, of Lewes, Del.
GEORGETOWN, Del.- Police say they arrested a Lewes man over the weekend on heroin and related charges after he overdosed on the drug in the restroom of the Georgetown McDonalds.

Georgetown police said that just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the McDonald's for an unresponsive person. Officers said that when they arrived on the scene, they found 30-year-old Brian Barlow, of Lewes, in the men's restroom. Police said Barlow appeared to have overdosed on heroin.

Officers said that when they arrived on the scene, Barlow was conscious and told them he had injected himself with six baggies of heroin. Police say they found a metal spoon that contained a white residue on the dispenser in the bathroom near Barlow and a cigarette pack containing several used heroin bags.

Barlow was taken to Beebe Medical Center where he was evaluated and released.

Barlow was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ordered held in the Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of a $500 secured bond. A future court date was set, but there is no word on when that will be.
