Delaware Police Seek Suspect in Quick Change Scam

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are looking for a man they say stole money from merchants through a quick change scam.

Troopers say the man stole money from at least nine Delaware merchants from November to January. Authorities say the suspect would pay for low-cost items with a $100 bill, then conduct a series a fast exchanges with the cashier to correct an alleged mistake with change.

Officers say the man would then make off with the merchandise, the change, and the original $100 bill.

Investigators identified the suspect as 68-year-old Warren Sampson of Philadelphia. Anyone with information about Sampson is asked to call State Police at 302-528-4339.
