Suspect Sought in Salisbury Attempted Robbery

SALISBURY, Md.- Salisbury police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with the attempted robbery of a city dry cleaning business.

The incident reportedly happened at around 11:20 a.m. Tuesday at Conley's Cleaners, located on the 800 block of East Main Street.

According to investigators, a lone male suspect entered the business and indicated that he was going to rob it. Police said the suspect then produced a small aerosol device and sprayed an unidentified substance toward the clerk. The suspect then ran out of the business without obtaining any property or valuables. Police said the clerk was uninjured during the incident, and the sprayed substance appears to have been inert.

Police said the suspect was described as black, approximately 5-foot-11, wearing a white T-shirt, khaki pants, black tennis shoes, a black baseball cap and a white T-shirt covering his face.

Anyone with information on the suspect's identity is asked to contact the Salisbury Police Department at (410) 548-3165 or Crime Solvers at (410) 548-1776. Crime Solvers will pay up to $1,000 for tips that lead to arrest.
