BALTIMORE - The Baltimore Orioles' starting first baseman, Chris Davis, was suspended Friday for positive results of an Amphetamine.
The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced a 25-game suspension without pay for the 28 year old.
Davis is in violation of the Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, the office says.
The suspension is effective immediately and includes all regular and post season games.
The Orioles will face the New York Yankees in a double header Friday at Camden Yards.
