Harrington Police Arrest Man for Criminal Mischief

HARRINGTON, Del- Harrington police say a man turned himself in for criminal mischief after being hospitalized prior to the crime.

Police and EMS responders found Jared L. Williams, 31, unconscious at the Super 8 Motel on South DuPont Highway.

Williams was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police continued their investigation of the incident by searching Williams' hotel room.

Upon investigation, police said prior to the medical emergency Williams had damaged items in the rented room. Police acquired a warrant for Williams.

On Thursday, Sept. 11 police said Williams was released from the hospital and turned himself into police. Williams was arrested and processed by Harrington Police Department.

Williams was charged with one count of criminal mischief under $1,000.

Police said Williams was later arraigned and released on a $1,000 unsecured bond.
