Man Treated for Burns After Cambridge Garage Fire

Posted:
CAMBRIDGE, Md.- The Maryland State Fire Marshall is investigating a garage fire that injured a 46-year-old man in Cambridge Friday night.

The fire marshall says it happened on the 200 block of Crusader Road in Dorchester County in a garage owned by Carole Brohawn. They say it took 30 firefighters from Church Creek and Hurlock about one hour to bring the fire under control.

The Maryland State Fire Marshall says the man sustained burn injuries was transported to Dorchester General Hospital where he was treated and released.

Early investigation reveals it was caused by an electrical problem in the back corner of the garage. The fire is estimated to have caused $15,000 worth of damage.
