Police Search for Shooting Suspect

SEAFORD, Del.– Seaford police are looking for a suspect wanted for shooting a man in the leg.

It happened at around 5 p.m. Tuesday in Nutter Park on Collins Avenue.

According to police, officers responded to a shooting and found an 18-year-old with a single gunshot wound in the leg.

The victim was taken to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury and released.

Police said an investigation into the incident determined that the victim was approached by the suspect who inquired why the victim was at the park. That is when the victim was shot, according to police.

The suspect is described as an unknown black male, wearing white cargo pants, and bald with a beard.

Delaware Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person or persons involved.
