DOVER, Del.– Downtown Dover's E-ZPass Customer Service Center and DMV Call Center reached its six-month mark of operation Wednesday.
“All of our customers have been very happy with the services and walk-in customers enjoy the accessibility of the Loockerman Street location,” said DMV Director Jennifer Cohan.
The center was the biggest economic development project taken on in downtown in decades and had consistent customer volumes since its opening in March, according to DMV officials.
“I am so excited to know that the E-ZPass Customer Service Center and all the employees are meshing so well with downtown Dover's friendly atmosphere,” Cohen said.
The DMV said the facility succeeded in bringing jobs and customers to the area, benefiting downtown merchants.
According to officials, there have been more than 6,000 walk-in customers and more than 200,000 customer phone calls at the E-ZPass CSC while the DMV Call Center took in over 100,000 customer calls since March.
