SALISBURY, Md.– The City of Salisbury will have a structural engineer perform a routine inspection of Johnson Dam Pond during the week of Sept. 22.

To carry out the inspection, the city will lower the pond level. Once the inspection is complete, the pond level will be brought back up to normal levels. Inspection work will take 7-10 days.

Johnson Dam Pond is 104 acres in size and is the largest reservoir on the Eastern Shore, according to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. The pond provides an area for fishing and boating.

For any questions or concerns regarding this project, contact Reggie Mariner at (410) 742-3115.
