SALISBURY, Md. - The Wicomico County Sheriff's office is asking the public's help in finding a convicted sex offender wanted for failing to check in with the Sex Offender Registry Unit.

Twenty-eight-year-old Sean Edward Amos, whose last known location is Salisbury, is considered one of the Sheriff's Office's "Most Wanted" fugitives.

Authorities said Amos was convicted on possession of child pornography back in 2011 and is required to register as a sex offender with the Sheriff's Office. According to the Maryland Sex Offender Registry, Amos is a Tier I registrant, meaning he is required to check in with the sheriff's office every six months.

Police said that after Amos missed his July check-in and was unable to be located, an arrest warrant was issued that charged Amos with failing to register as a sex offender. According to police, the Sex Offender Registry unit last had contact with Amos back in May of 2014 and his current whereabouts are unknown.

Anyone with information on Amos' whereabouts is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at (410) 548-4890. Police said anyone with information may also anonymously report his location to Crime Solvers at (410) 548-1776. Police said information reported to Crime Solvers that leads to Amos' apprehension will lead to a cash reward.
