Three Hurt at Six Flags America as Park Lets Out

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) - A fire department spokesman says three people were injured at Six Flags America during the first night of its Halloween event, Fright Fest.

Prince George's County fire spokesman Mark Brady says officials were called in to handle a large crowd leaving the park around 10 p.m. Saturday.

According to park officials, one guest was hurt during a fight in the parking lot. Fire officials said two other teens were hurt, too, but none of the injuries were serious.

No one was arrested, despite a heavy police presence. A spokeswoman for Six Flags disputed reports on social media that the altercation was gang-related.

The amusement park said it beefed up security and traffic management efforts Sunday following the incident.

Fright Fest began Saturday and continues every weekend until Nov. 2.
