CAMDEN, Del. – A routine traffic stop in Camden led to an arrest and several charges including possession of a deadly weapon for a Magnolia man, authorities said.

Matthew Trently, 22, was found in possession of an AR-15 rifle with a loaded 20 round magazine, brass knuckles and 106 grams of suspected marijuana, along with additional drug paraphernalia, according to the Delaware Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Enforcement agent who stopped him.

The agent said he was traveling in the area of Peachtree Run in Camden on Friday when he pulled Trently over for a traffic violation.

Agents said they seized the rifle and marijuana, along with a small amount of cash, and placed Trently under a $13,300 unsecured bond pending future court action.
