Police: Heroin and Drug Proceeds Found in Dover Home

DOVER. Del.– Following a month-long investigation into the sale of illegal drugs from a Capital Park home, the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Task Force has arrested and charged a 23-year-old man on a variety of charges.

Agents from the task force, along with the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team, said they discovered Quayshawn Bryan of Dover standing outside a house in the 100 block of South Governors Boulevard when they arrived there with a search warrant Wednesday around 9 p.m. Officers took him into custody after he attempted to run away. While searching the home, detectives said they located 276 bags of heroin totaling 4.14 grams and $2,400 in suspected drug proceeds. According to police, four children between the ages of 5 and 16 were present in the house at the time of the search. They were unharmed and turned over to a relative at the scene.

Bryan was transported back to Troop 3 where he was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center.
