Police: Third Passenger in Delaware Tour Bus Crash Dies

BEAR, Del.- Delaware State Police say a third passenger injured in a Delaware tour bus crash last month has died.

Police said that 43-year-old Jyostina Poojari of Mumbai, India, died shortly after 5 a.m. Thursday at Christiana Hospital in Newark. She was taken there after the Sept. 21 crash in Bear.

Two other passengers, identified as 54-year-old Hua'y Chen of New York City, and 30-year-old Idil Bahsi, of Istanbul, Turkey, were killed and dozens were injured when the bus overturned on a curved exit ramp to U.S. Route 13 northbound in New Castle.

The driver, 56-year-old Jinli Zhao of Flushing, New York, has been charged with two counts of operating a vehicle causing the death of another person. Police said additional charges are likely to be filed as the investigation progresses.

The sixth grader quickly began chemotherapy at Johns Hopkins, but was upset that his treatments caused him to miss the Berlin Christmas parade. So his family decided to make some phone calls to friends in the community to try to bring a parade to him. On Thursday night, over 200 vehicles from 97 organizations went down Cherix Road in Girdletree.
