CAMBRIDGE, Md.- They have shirts, sweaters, tattoos, and more. Orioles fans love their team, and they have a lot to be proud of this year.
BJ Wheatley, the bartender at Realerevival Brewing in Cambridge is one of those diehard Orioles fanatics. He's been waiting for this ever since '97.
"We waited a long time to have a good team. Two years ago we made it to the playoffs and now they are back in the playoffs with a shot to go to the world series so I think everyone is pretty pumped," said Wheatley.
While Gordy Jones isn't wearing his orange today, he is certainly seeing orange. This Orioles fan says he can't wait to get home and watch the game.
"They've got a lot of power off the bench. The pitching is great, and it's just going to be an exciting post season no matter how far they get, it's going to be enjoyable," said Jones.
Nicholas Everngam of Easton, a student now at Salisbury University was repping his team today on the way to class.
"I'm so excited. I've honestly never seen them win the division before. I have been a fan since I was a little kid," said Everngam.
And it's not just Maryland fans who are pumped, but neighboring Delaware as well. Neil and Debra Dickerson from Millsboro left early Thursday for Baltimore, to cheer their team on.
"This is huge to us, I didn't sleep all night. I guess that's the little kid in me that wants to get back out there. Let's go O's," said Neil.
