Suspect Charged with 2 Counts of Murder in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Md.- Cambridge police have charged a Hurlock man with multiple counts of murder following a Sunday morning shooting that occurred at an Elks Lodge that left two dead and two others wounded.
    
Thirty-year-old Terrence Jermaine Brown is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder, one count of attempted murder, along with assault and related charges following his arrest Sunday.
    
Police said officers responded to the Elks Lodge on the 600 block of Pine Street at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. Cambridge Mayor Victoria Jackson-Stanley said the lodge had been rented out for a private event and two guests had been kicked out of the party. Soon after, a fight broke out outside the building, followed by gunfire.
    
Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Two others sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to hospitals for treatment.
    
Police have not yet released the names of the victims.

Brown is being held without bond at the Dorchester County Detention Center.
