Beach Patrol Rescues Two Swimmers

OCEAN CITY, Md.- Ocean City Beach Patrol rescued two swimmers from the surf over the weekend.

According to Beach Patrol, lifeguards rescued a 12-year-old boy and an adult male around 1:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Beach patrol says the adult swimmer was taken to the hospital as a precaution, because he showed signs of exhaustion and difficulty breathing.

Summer swim season is officially over, and lifeguards are no longer on duty regularly in Ocean City. Beach Patrol says fortunately guards were on extended patrol during this particular incident, and were able to respond.

Ocean City Beach Patrol is reminding beach-goers to stay out of the water since lifeguards are not at the beach.
