Two Sought After Bank Robbed in Federalsburg

Updated:
FEDERALSBURG, Md.- Federalsburg police are looking for a pair of suspects wanted for holding up the PNC Bank on Hayman Drive on Friday.

According to police, two masked, black males entered the bank, displayed a gun and ordered the employees to get on the floor and not set off any alarms.

Investigators said one suspect watched persons in the bank and the other suspect jumped the counter, took an undetermined amount of currency from the teller's area, and put the money in a bag. The suspect again jumped the counter and both suspects fled the scene on foot into a wooded area.

A perimeter involving several law enforcement agencies was established and a search of a nearby wooded area was conducted. Maryland State Police Aviation Division helicopsters assisted with aerial surveillance of the area.

No suspects have been arrested at this time and the investigation is ongoing by the Federalsburg Police Department and the FBI.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Federalsburg Police Department at (410) 754-8966 or the local FBI office in Baltimore at (410) 265-8080.
