Police Investigate Home Invasion in Eden, Md.

EDEN, Md.- Maryland State Police are investigating a home invasion that left an elderly man injured Monday morning on South Upper Ferry Road in Eden.

Troopers with the Salisbury Barrack responded to the 4000 block of S. Upper Ferry Road just before 9 a.m. for a reported burglary.
According to police, troopers were told that three young, African-American males entered the home, brandished pistols, and demanded money and car keys from the elderly residents in the home. Police said the victims were asleep in their bedroom at the time of the invasion.

Troopers said one of the suspects struck the male victim in the head with a pistol. That man has been treated and released from Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, according to police.
Police said the suspects then fled the home before police arrived on scene.

Troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack and Deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, as well as K-9 police from the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office searched the area.
The Wicomico Bureau of Investigation was contacted and responded to the scene, along with the Maryland State Police Crime Lab.
