CAMBRIDGE, Md.- Cambridge police have released the names of the two people killed in a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning just outside the Elks Lodge on Pine Street.

Police said the people who died have been identified as 25-year-old Laron Todd and 28-year-old Ashley Cornish, both of Cambridge.

The suspect in the shooting, 30-year-old Terrence Jermaine Brown, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder, one count of attempted murder, along with assault and related charges following his arrest Sunday.

Police said officers responded to the Elks Lodge on the 600 block of Pine Street at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. Police said that as Todd left the Elks Lodge, Brown walked up and shot him. Cornish was sitting outside the club when she was struck and killed by a stray bullet, according to police. Both Todd and Cornish were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people, who have not yet been identified, sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Brown is being held without bond at the Dorchester County Detention Center.

Police said there is the possibility of additional arrests in the investigation.
