Updated: School Bus Goes into Ditch in Easton

Posted: Updated:
EASTON, Md.- The Talbot County Sheriff's Office says a school bus carry drove into a ditch in Easton on Wednesday morning.

Deputies say it happened near Gregory Road and Bruffs Island Road just before 7 a.m.

Officers on the scene said no one was seriously injured.

Talbot County Public Schools posted on their Facebook page that the driver swerved to avoid a tree branch in the road, but due to the soft shoulder, the bus slid into the ditch.  They report that three students were taken to Easton Memorial Hospital as a precautionary measure.  All parents have been contacted, and the scene was cleared as of 9:30 a.m.
